WORKING HOURS: Full-time permanent employee working 40 hours per week. Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime (posted in advance).

JOB TITLE: EXPERIENCED MACHINIST
DUTIES: Perform all duties of a toolmaker or machinist:
Apply knowledge of tool and die design and construction, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout, machining, and assembly procedures.
Study specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions, and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations.
Measure, mark and scribe metal stock for machining. Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, surface grinder, EDM and sheet metal equipment, to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.
Secure and position machined parts using shop tools such as surface plates, vises, v-blocks and angle plates.
Smooth flat and contoured surfaces using scrapers, abrasive stones, and power grinders, and fit and assemble parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms, using handtools.
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances, using measuring instruments, such as dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers.
Examine and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of parts; develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of product.
Welding skills a bonus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Five years experience as a machinist, toolmaker or moldmaker. Completion of a recognized apprentice or certificate program a plus.
PAY: $12.00 to $25.00 per hour, or wage DOE

JOB TITLE: CNC MILL OR LATHE PROGRAMMER/OPERATOR & MACHINIST
DUTIES: In addition to the ability to perform duties of manual machinist/toolmaker position noted above:
The ability to perform part and print drawing using MasterCam or similar programming software.
Experience with set-up and running CNC Mills or Lathes.
Experience using Internet file transfer, AdobeAcrobat and MS Office a plus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Five years experience as both machinist and programmer. Completion of a recognized apprentice or certificate program a plus.
PAY: $15.00 TO $30.00 per hour, or wage DOE

JOB TITLE: ENTRY LEVEL MACHINIST (APPRENTICE)
DUTIES: Under direct supervision, work with machinists/toolmakers to complete various jobs:
Ability to work with assorted machine shop tools (manual equipment) and equipment including Bridgeport mills, band saws, cut-off saws, grinders, etc.
Understanding of machining tools and principles
Ability to use a hand lathe a plus
Ability to set-up and run CNC mills a plus
Ability to program in MasterCam or other mechanical drawing programs a plus
This position will advance quickly dependent on skill level and eagerness to learn new things
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: One year experience as machinist, or two years experience as a machine shop apprentice machinist, or completion of a recognized apprentice or certificate program plus one year experience.
PAY: $9.00 TO $15.00 per hour, DOE
